East Lodge nestles among trees on the slopes of Druim Gloy above the waters of Loch Lochy in the Great Glen.
Our lily pond is home to ducks and a stroll round its side offers a vista across the Loch to Clunes Forest and the dramatic Loch Lochy hills - Ben Tee and Sròn a'Choire Ghairbh, rising respectively 901m. and 935m. from the shore of the loch.
Loch Lochy is one of the four lochs which are interlinked by the Caledonian Canal (the others being Loch Oich, Loch Ness and Loch Dochfour). Cruises on the canal and the Lochs are available from nearby Banavie (14 miles) or Fort Augustus (17 miles)
Our Grounds
Our guests, many of who return year after year to stay at East Lodge, are free to explore and wander through our grounds, enjoying the wildlife whether it be the ducks on the lily pond, the deer in the woods and on the hillsides, or - if you're really lucky - the soaring golden eaglesto be seen in our skies.
Or wander down to the shore of Loch Lochy where you'll find breath-taking sunsets and the peace and tranquility of the loch.
